LIST: Areas with power outage due to Typhoon Nona
MANILA, Philippines – As Typhoon “Nona” heads toward Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas, several provinces experienced power interruptions on Tuesday.
The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) reported that among the provinces with power outages are Bicol, Camarines Norte, Romblon Samar, Eastern Samar, Northern Samar and Sorsogon.
Aside from the areas with power cut, there are also other lines affected which include the 230-kilovolt Tiwi A-Daraga, 230-kV Daraga-Bacman line 1 and 2 and the 350-kV line Allen-Ormoc.
NGCP said it will inspect and restore the power lines “as soon as the weather allows," assuring the public that it implemented preparations to minimize the typhoon’s effect on its operations and facilities.
The grid operator prepared by securing supply of hardware materials to repair damaged facilities and positioning line crews in strategic areas.
