PNoy warns foes against grabbing credit for his achievements

Louis Bacani - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines —  President Benigno Aquino III on Monday took a swipe at politicians who may take credit for his achievements if they get elected next year.

As he endorsed Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo as the LP's vice-presidential candidate, Aquino warned that their political foes may resort to credit-grabbing to diminish the administration's accomplishments.

The president said the politicians criticizing the administration's perceived ineptitude in addressing traffic problems may try to claim recognition for his infrastructure projects.

Aquino cited the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 which will be completed by 2017.

Paalala nga sa akin: Bato-bato sa langit, tamaan huwag magagalit," he added, without giving names.

In his speech endorsing the candidacies of Robredo and LP standard-bearer Manuel Roxas II, Aquino touted the administration's achievements in the sectors of health, infrastructure, education and economy.

Aquino said a Roxas-Robredo leadership will accelerate the country's gains.

"Meron tayong Mar, may Leni pa na siguradong magpapatuloy ng Daang Matuwid, kumpiyansa ako na lalo pa nilang pabibilisin ang ating paghakbang," Aquino said.
