Philippines, Greece sign MoU on political consultations

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - The Philippines and Greece today inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations.

The forging of the MoU came on the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The MoU was signed by Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario for the Philippines and Ambassador to the Philippines Constantina Koliou for Greece.

Del Rosario said that it was an "auspicious start" to the celebration of a milestone year.

The DFA said the signing of the MoU caps the tour of duty to the Philippines of Koliou.

Del Rosario thanked the ambassador for her special contribution in the strengthening of bilateral relations, particularly in the maritime and shipping sector.
