Noy on Customs accomplishments: Reset button worked

MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino lauded in his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) the reforms in the Bureau of Customs a year after he accused the agency of abusive practices.

"Naging malinaw sa atin na reset button ang solusyon," Aquino said in his SONA.

While praising the agency for a noted 20 percent increase in collection this year, Aquino warned corrupt officials and employees.

"With enough evidence, the [New Bilibid Prison] is your next destination," he said.

He also praised Customs Commisioner Sunny Sevilla for taking on the duty after former chief Ruffy Biazon resigned.
