Insular Foundation holds leadership forum for scholars

MANILA, Philippines - ‘Informed, Inspired, Empowered’ was the theme of the Leadership Forum conducted recently by the Insular Foundation for its college scholars.  Some 50 students from the College of Education of the University of the Philippines, Diliman – scholars all of Insular Foundation – attended the day-long forum held at the Insular Life head office in Muntinlupa.  The resource speakers, seasoned educators themselves, encouraged the students to remain true to their calling despite the challenges of the teaching profession. They challenged the students to become exceptional teachers as well as exceptional leaders for the country.  The Insular Foundation supports students enrolled in any Education course at UP Diliman and five other state universities to earn their degrees leading to a teaching profession. The support is by way of scholarship grants which includes tuition, book and transportation allowance and stipend.
