Experience winter in summer
MANILA, Philippines — In a tropical country like the Philippines, people only see polar bears, orcas, seal and penguins in movies and different documentaries about the Arctic region.
But now, through the help of Broadcast Augmented Reality, Filipinos do not need to fly to the North Pole to interact with Arctic animals because a mall in Shaw Boulevard will let you experience the fun.
Shangri-La Plaza teamed up with Augmented Reality Company INDE to bring a unique entertainment experience called "Arctic Explorer" from May 6 to 21 at the mall’s East Atrium.
“The Broadcast Augmented Reality as a technology is quit new here in the Philippines. It’s now been brought over. Shangri-La is known to be innovative. We just want to continue to evolve for our guest,” said Lala Fojas, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Shangri-La Plaza.
For a minimum purchase at the mall, shoppers can experience to get up close and personal with the Arctic creatures and have selfies with them.
“Arctic region is something to you cannot see every day in the Philippines because we are in a tropical country. We don’t have enough big aquarium museums that you can go to. This is a good opportunity for us, for our young people, as well as for the family, to experience what Arctic is all about,” Fojas concluded.
