Oh, oh, what a kiss!

At the recent Christmas party hosted by the Kapuso Network for the press, Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali easily captivated the jaded media guys with their Boogie-style dance number to the tune of Christina Aguilera’s Candyman. It was youthful exuberance in full display.

Miguel, 16 (Sept. 21, 1998), and Bianca, 14 (March 2, 2000), are living up to the challenge of being one of today’s hot young love teams. After having proven themselves as child actors separately in several GMA shows, they were launched as a pair in Niño (in which Miguel stole scenes as an autistic without really trying to), Ismol Family (for a welcome comic turn) and Seasons of Love Presents: First Dance, First Love.

Starting in January next year, Miguel and Bianca will greet the Year of the Sheep with Once Upon A Kiss, a feel-good young romance series directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal, with a full-house cast that includes Michael de Mesa, Cris Villanueva, Marielle Pamintuan, Tessie Tomas, Mylene Dizon, Manilyn Reynes, Keempee de Leon, Nova Villa, Al Tantay, Maricar de Mesa, Frank Magalona, Betong Sumaya, Sabrina Man, Miggy Jimenez, Cai Cortez and Gabby Eigenmann.

As a nod to the new show’s theme, STAR photographer Ver Paulino go through the steps to a tender kiss, after which Funfare made them complete “If I were…” sentences.

• If I were a song, I would be…acoustic because it releases more emotion and shows originality.

• If I were a food, I would be…a dark chocolate fondue.

• If I were a movie, I would be…action drama and comedy all at once.

• If I were a car, I would be…a Volkswagen because it is classy and classic.

• If I were a part of the house, I would be…a mirror because it reflects not only physically but also emotionally.

• If I were a hero, I would be…Jean Grey because of  her power.

• If I were a cartoon character, I would be…Chowder because of his ability to eat a lot.

• If I were a book, I would be…Neverwhere because of the darkness and adventure it contains.

• If I were a Hollywood actor/actress, I would be…Jennifer Lawrence because of her sense of humor.

• If I were a subject, I would be…Math because it has so much logic.

• If I were a president, I would be…Obama because he knows what he is responsible for and is aware of what happening not only in the US but around the world.

• If I were a place, I would be…Mountain peak. I would like to see the world up there.

• If I were a food, I would be…the Main Course  because I’m a complete meal. Hahahaha!!!

• If I were a movie, I would be…a dramedy. I am a combination of both drama and comedy.

• If I were a car, I would be…a Rolls Royce. I am one of a kind.

• If I were a part of the house, I would be…the bedroom; it’s my private place.

• If I were a hero, I would be…Superman. I am the strongest but I have my Kryptonite, too.

• If I were a cartoon character, I would be…Spongebob. He’s my favorite character.

• If I were a book, I would be…a novel. You would want to know my story from beginning to end, wouldn’t you?

• If I were a Hollywood actor, I would be…Leonardo di Caprio. He still doesn’t have an Oscar but he has proven himself as one of the most important actors of his time.

• If I were a subject, I would be…Math. It’s my favorite subject.

• If I were a president, I would be…Obama. He runs the world’s most powerful country but still manages to balance work and family.
