Sexy Talk with Ervic Vijandre
His “past” with Marian Rivera was perhaps an even bigger challenge for Ervic Vijandre to hurdle than the physically-challenging ones he and the other castaways were subjected to during the 39-day shoot of last year’s Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition on an island in Thailand.
For more than 39 days (and even up to now), every time he faces the press, Ervic is invariably asked about it but he chooses to keep mum about it (past is past), refusing to make even a one-line comment for this “sexy talk.” He has been linked to an EB Babe but the romance fizzled out even before it caught fire. As usual, Ervic doesn’t want to talk about it. Is Rich Asuncion (who hinted that she and Aljur Abrenica were clandestinely “on” only after they broke up) Ervic’s latest squeeze? Silence.
He’d rather talk about his current projects, the GMA tele-remake of Seiko Films’ Kokak (with Rachel Lobangco as a croaky character) which will start airing next month, and Regal Films’ 13th edition of Shake, Rattle & Roll which is an official entry in December’s Metro Manila Filmfest, with Richard Gomez directing him in the episode.
“It’s a honor to be directed by Richard in my movie debut,” said Ervic who is one of Jonas Gaffud’s Mercator talents signed up (good for three years) by Regal, together with JC Tiuseco, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide and Ian Batherson.
As a kid, Ervic played baseball. He shifted to basketball when he studied in La Salle. With his build, Ervic found it a breeze becoming a model (he’s one of the “ambassadors” of Folded & Hung). Survivor, in which he finished one of the Top 3 (Akihiro Sato was the winner) was his launching pad into showbiz mainstream. He took a bow in the second edition of Captain Barbell, the Richard Gutierrez-starrer GMA fantasy-adventure.
An Aquarian (Jan. 26), Ervic stands 6’2”; weighs 180 lbs.; and wears medium-sized shirt, medium-sized briefs and size-11” shoes.

“For me, sexy is an attitude.”

“I feel sexy whenever I think I am. I think it’s all about your attitude or the way you perceive yourself at a certain time. So when I feel that I wanna be sexy then I feel that I am sexy.”
