Rugby not just for street kids

THE EAR - The Freeman

Hairbands, stockings, drugs.  An Ear source reported seeing two young girls along D. Jakosalem sniffing rugby from a plastic bag. While this sight no longer shocks many Cebu City residents these days, what jolted the source was that the two appeared to be well-dressed and well-groomed teenagers from middle-class families.

"Dili man to sila mga batang hamog o mga batang kalye. Mga desente ra ba, nindot og sanina, nindot og sapatos, hamis og kutis," the source said.

He added the two laughed as they sniffed rugby again and again as if it were a game.

"Ako man unta badlongon, pero wa na baya ta kabalo sa kinaiya sa mga bata karon," he said.
