Less smokers…for now

No smoking. After the announcement of the law making smoking in public places illegal, people from different walks of life noticed a decrease in the number of people smoking in public.

But will it last? The same people who made the observations to The Ear said they hope it does. The challenge is in the enforcement; if authorities have enough resources to punish all violators.

"Let's see if it can be enforced nationwide the same way it was done in Davao," one observer said.
