TOURIST. A Cebuano martial artist shared to The Ear about the impressions of his Davaoeño friend who visited Cebu over the weekend. This visitor told his friend: "Wow, you don't have Central 911 and command center, and yet you can behave like no one is monitoring you on the streets? Amazing!"
OLD CITY. This Cebuano quoted his friend as saying: "You are an old city. You have good officials here. You are supposed to have it (command center) already na."
RIVERS. "It's amazing also that your rivers here have encroachments of either buildings or informal settlers. Rivers should be a causeway for water from the mountain to the sea to prevent flooding. But your rivers here are already flooding - flooding with illegal structures," the Cebuano friend further quoted his visitor friend as saying.
