Bus chaos

THE EAR - The Freeman

PRIORITY NUMBER. Is change really coming? For one bus passenger, it's not. This passenger just stepped out  a ferry at a port in Santander town, southern Cebu from Sibulan port in Negros Oriental. Just like most of the ferry's passengers, he was to ride a bus on standby at the Santander port to head to Cebu City. Because there were only limited seats on the bus, priority numbers were given to prospective passengers back at the Sibulan port.

A PINOY THING. When it was time to ride the bus, however, there was chaos. Passengers were not queuing properly, competing for their seats. What's more infuriating was that some of those who did not have priority numbers were even the first ones to occupy the seats. The ending? Some of those with priority numbers were not able to secure seats. Apparently the bus personnel were not able to sort the mess. "Sakit sa Pinoy," one passenger commented.
