What's the new student fare?
ROLLBACK. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-7 has reduced prevailing jeepney fares in Cebu and Central Visayas from P7 to P6.50, which will take effect starting tomorrow. Students, seniors and PWDs normally enjoy a 20 percent discount on fares. One college student tells EAR, "Unya, maayo unta ma-follow gyud na kay naa raba ubang driver, dili magtarong og sukli bisan klaro na nga nagsul-ob og school ID ang pasahero."
MATRIX, PLEASE. Another student butts in: "Dapat man gyud unta naa'y matrix iplastada sulod sa jeep para we know how to assert our rights. Kanang tag 50 cents or piso nga ma-save sa plitehan, kung tigumon na, mahimo nang P365 sa usa ka tuig." That's good enough to buy one's mother a gift come Christmas, he says.
