SSS PENSION. There are bills in the Senate and the House seeking to grant P2,000 across-the-board increase in the pension of the Social Security System (SSS) members.

WELCOME, BUT.... An Ear informer who talked with some SSS members to get their views, said the planned increase "is most welcome but he's less hopeful that the increase will happen sooner than the lawmakers assurance."

NOT ENOUGH. One SSS pensioner who is receiving a monthly pension of only P3,000-plus ("not enough" for food and maintenance medicine) told our Ear informer: "Let that SSS blessing come samtang buhi pa ang kabayo."
