MANILA, Philippines — It was the sweetest and coolest Sunday ever as Filipinos from all over the Philippines enjoyed servings of their favorite summer dessert and merienda, the halo-halo, on March 19.
In celebration of the National Halo-Halo Sarap Day, excited diners flocked to over 450 Mang Inasal branches nationwide to avail of the So Creamy, So Sarap merienda. Discounted throughout the day, the small cup was priced only at P25 (from P53), while the regular cup was at P45 (from P73).
Mang Inasal endorsers Angel Locsin and Coco Martin also joined the fun at branches at SM East Ortigas and SM Fairview, respectively. Both greeted their fans who came to see them while enjoying their cups of Pinoy Halo-Halo.
Angel, who stars in the fast food company’s halo-halo TV commercial, was spotted serving bowls of the sweet treat to lucky diners. She later on shared what she loved most in Mang Inasal’s Pinoy Halo-Halo.
“Ako, favorite part ko talaga is yung gatas nya talaga. Kakaiba yung cream ng Mang Inasal (My favorite part really is the milk. The cream of Mang Inasal is really special),” Angel said.

Meanwhile, Coco bonded not only with diners but also with the Mang Inasal crew who were energized even more to serve throughout the whole day.
