Fastfood chain creates chicken-flavored edible nail polish
MANILA, Philippines - Literally, finger-lickin' good.
A food chain has just entered the beauty biz as they plan to come up with an edible nail polish that tastes like their signature product.
Looking to increase the relevance and appeal of their brand, the edible nail polish — created in “Original” and “Hot & Spicy” flavors — will be launched in Hongkong.
“We got McCormicks, the food technologists who guard the secrets of KFC’s secret recipe to develop a solution based on natural ingredients to create this edible nail polish that hardens when dry, with a glossy finish,” Anna Mugglestone, marketing director at the advertising agency behind the campaign told Buzzfeed.
Mugglestone however clarified that only one flavor will be available for sale. People can vote for their pick on the brand’s Facebook page.

Although the product will only be available in Hongkong, some Filipino netizens have reacted to the product, expressing their desire to experience it themselves.
Lourd, paano ko po majujustify ang pagpurchase ng KFC nail polish in the event na dalhin siya dito sa Pilipinas?

This is not the first time brands have come up with the food-based beauty product. As enumerated by CBS, there was a perfume called Eau de Pizza Hut sold in limited quantities in the U.S. in 2013 while in 2008, Burger King introduced The Flame by BK, a men's body spray with a scent of their meat.
Meanwhile, Filipinos can try their Spicy Gangnam, a crispy chicken drenched in sweet and spicy Korean Soy.
