MANILA, Philippines - Saddle up and prepare your taste buds for a gastronomic ride as the original Texas Roadhouse opens its first restaurant in the Philippines on April 28, at the fourth level of Uptown Mall in BGC.
Texas Roadhouse was once named by Forbes magazine as one of America’s best companies and recognized as the Number One steakhouse in America by Consumers’ Choice in Chains survey. It has everything spot on for a quintessential steakhouse experience – from a menu of big, bold Southwestern flavors, rustic interiors of dark wood and bricks and framed memorabilia on the walls to country music playing in the background.
The true taste of Texas is in the restaurant’s high quality hand-cut steaks. Grilled on an open fire to achieve that wonderful smoky taste and just the right amount of char, the steaks come in a variety of premium cuts that customers may choose from and have cooked according to their preferred doneness.
Choices include USDA Choice Sirloin, Dallas Filet, Filet Medallions, Ft. Worth Ribeye and Bone-in Ribeye. There are servings for one, two, and shareable combos for groups of 4 or more.
All entrées include a a choice of made-from-scratch sides: steak rice, sweet potato, baked potato, steak fries, buttered corn, coleslaw, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, house salad, Caesar salad, steamed white rice or seasoned rice.
And while Texas Roadhouse lays claim to having some of the best steaks in town, it is also known for its other dishes and specialties. Perennial favorites are RattleSnake Bites, which are actually balls of diced jalapeños and jack cheese, hand-battered and lightly fried and served with Ranch dressing and assorted salads in various homemade dressings like ranch, honey mustard, Italian and bleu cheese, and Caesar.
The steakhouse also likes its burgers big, meaty and served with steak fries on the side. Choices include the All-American Cheeseburger, Smokehouse Burger, Mushroom Jack Chicken, Buffalo Burger and Sliders to mention some.
Packing a big cowboy punch are mouthwatering platter combinations of different kinds of meats; hence customers can’t go wrong whichever platter they order. Try the Pork Chops, Beef Steak Tips and Shrimp platter for a surf n’ turf kind of meal, or the Crispy Chicken Strips, Sirloin and Beef plate.
