Niku buns at Banzai: The Great Authentic Japanese Buffet

Banzai: The Great Authentic Japanese Buffet at SM by the Bay offers its Japanese Street Food Festival. Food offerings include Japanese snacks and finger foods like Niku Buns, steamed buns with ground pork sprinkled with sesame seeds, a Japanese take on the Chinese baozi; Bacon Kani, a grilled kani stick wrapped in bacon; and Bacon Aspa, grilled asparagus wrapped in bacon.  Other yatai offerings include squid balls with nori; Kani Aunori Tempura; Pork “Mimi” Yakiniku, grilled pig ears, and grilled pork intestines.

Buffet 101 now at Glorietta 2

Buffet 101 recently opened at Glorietta 2.  Buffet 101 serves a wide array of international cuisine, from Korean, Japanese and Chinese to Western and Filipino. The all-meat carving station offers prime rib with sweet hickory barbecue sauce, roast beef and pork belly. At the Chinese and Japanese stations, dishes include spicy salmon, white pepper crab, fresh live suahe and sushi. The Filipino station includes sisig, kare-kare, chicken inasal and palabok. The dessert station has a wide selection of cakes, cookies, jellies, ice cream and kakanin.

John Silvers soon at SM Manila

Long John Silvers (LJS) will open its first branch at SM Manila on Nov 27. LJS offers fast-food seafood at affordable prices. Specialties include battered Fish n’ Chips at P49. Other dishes are battered chicken, chicken tenders, hush puppies, and many more.

At the launch LJS will give free fish and chips to the first 100 customers.
