Christmas is not just a feast for the nose but also the eyes at Jo Malone this year. The British fragrance brand partnered with the prince of prints, Jonathan Saunders, to design its Christmas packaging, and the result is a visual mélange of colors and patterns Jo Malone is calling a “Crazy, Colourful Christmas,” with gift-giving options that range from the affordable to the truly decadent (see below).

For the holidays, Jo Malone is releasing a limited-edition cologne and candle called Green Almond & Redcurrant, a fruity gourmand that manages to be yummy and fresh at the same time, with a comforting base of cedarwood and tonka that wraps around you like a warm sweater.

Orange Bitters, a unisex citrus-fruity scent that was launched Christmas last year, is back by popular demand. “It’s a hit with both men and women because it’s delicious and very festive,” says Camille Flores-Oloan, brand manager of Jo Malone Philippines.

Jo Malone favorites good for combining with these holiday potions like Pomegranate Noir and English Pear & Freesia are also available in festive, limited-edition packaging.

To scent your home with the smell of Christmas morning, every year Jo Malone issues its signature scent for the season — Pine & Eucalyptus —in candle, diffuser, and room-spray form.

But what I really love about Jo Malone is that many of their items, such as the colognes, candles and body creams, are available as miniatures, so they make the perfect stocking stuffers; or, if you’re a scent ho like me, you can sample and collect as many of them as you like without having to commit to full bottles.

“We have lots of different pricing tiers to choose from,” Oloan assures me.

The most affordable is the Christmas Ornament box, which you can fill with two minis for P1,850. Eye-catching Christmas crackers can be customized and filled with three to four items. Or how about the Christmas Miniature Soap Collection, which contains 15 mini soaps for P2,150?

“Some buy the mini candles and gift them individually,” notes Oloan. “We can give separate paper bags and boxes to do that.”

If you’re a super-generous Santa Claus, the most premium items are the Advent Calendar, where the giftee can count down to Christmas by opening 24 colorful drawers you can fill with tiny colognes, candles and more (P26,000).

But the most generous gift has to be the three-piece Deluxe Candle Collection containing three holiday scents — Pomegranate Noir, Frosted Cherry & Clove, and Roasted Chestnut — in a gorgeous patterned box for P41,000. Receiving that will surely make you the envy of any Jo Malone fan.
