MANILA, Philippines - Gone are the long gowns and the ostentatious displays.
For the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte, the grand red carpet fashion show by members of the Congress and their spouses attending was discarded. Instead, a new dress code was implemented --- business attire or dresses not exceeding knee-length.
