Baste, girlfriend ready and polished in final fitting of inaugural garb
MANILA, Philippines — We are just a day away before President-elect Rodrigo Duterte officially takes on his new role as the country's new leader and everyone is making sure that every detail of the inauguration faultless, including the outfits.
PTV-4, a government-owned TV network recently shared on social media a photo of Rodrigo Duterte's son, Baste, and his girlfriend Kate Necesario, fitting their outfits for tomorrow.

Living up to the simplicity that Rodrigo Duterte wants, Baste's barong was made from Mindanaoan silk while Kate's terno was crafted using a piña fabric.
Reports also noted that the incoming president himself has also finished the final fitting of his barong designed by Boni Adaza of Chardin.The fabric which is piña jusi was chosen by Rodrigo Duterte himself because it is "comfortable."
Both the barong of Baste and his father will feature an intricate embroidery of a tribal pattern. Rodrigo Duterte will have the iconic pattern of the Manobo Tribe.
The design aims to highlight the minority groups of Mindanao.
The inaugural will be held on January 30 at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall.
