Dawn Zulueta: I don't believe in cosmetic surgery

MANILA, Philippines - "I don't believe in cosmetic surgery. I believe in aging gracefully and I can do that with healthy living, and of course, having a good choice in your skin regimen," says Dawn Zulueta-Lagdameo as she explains her thoughts about aging.

Dawn, one of the country's ultimate leading lady, was recently launched as the the very first Filipina to represent L’Oreal Skin Expert/Paris, joining the leagues of the world’s most beautiful and elegant women such as Andie McDowell, Eva Longoria, Naomi Watts, Julianne Moore and other global icons.

At 48, Dawn said that the only worry she has about aging is becoming physically weak and ill, which is why she hopes she can keep her body strong and her posture upright all the way to the end.

According to the actress, looking more natural as she ages is what she is trying to achieve which is why she started to be really cautious about her skin regimen at 30.

"With the pollutants and of course the nature of my work which drags on to late mornings, we hardly get any sleep. All of these things can cause damage to our skin... So I tried to keep a healthy lifestyle and use skin care products with good quality," she shared at the launch, which was held on March 3 at the Century City Mall.

"Beauty products are big investment, but still, it would last," she added.

Dawn currently appears in “You’re My Home” which airs after “Story of Us” in ABS-CBN. — Alixandra Caole Vila
