Skin talk with Kris
Kris Aquino is never the type to compromise herself at the expense of quality of her work or even her life in general.
For years, Kris has been known for impervious candor. Today, she still does not disappoint. “With me, what you see is what you get. That way, wala talagang misconceptions.”
That’s why Kris, to date, is one of the most sought-after endorsers in the industry because when she promotes a product, people believe her. People know she is not the type to falsely promote anything she does not believe in. And with about two dozen endorsements under her belt, she vouches that she uses each one of them. “You can even check my house, I use them all,” Kris enthuses.
Kris’ latest endorsement is a skincare center that has been around for more than two decades. Facial Care Centre, now approaching its 25th year, has reached another milestone. It stands proudly for holding 25 untarnished years of skincare success and expertise, so launching a credible star as Kris is timely and fitting.
The famous mother, wife, actress, TV host and entrepreneur has barely enough “me” time to indulge in. With such an unpredictable day-to-day schedule, you’d think someone like her would look frazzled. Aside from the proper diet she works hard to maintain (save for the few pieces of her favorite Maltesers chocolate she must have), she also drinks tons of water, washes off her makeup before going to bed, and pampers herself with bubble baths and facials. And for Kris, she knows what suits her and goes with it. “After much experimentation, I find out if a certain powder, blush, mascara or lip gloss will work for me. For instance I love minty lip balms — I don’t like fruity-flavored ones. I also like my hair blow-dried before I go out of the house, unless I’m going to a shoot. Little things like that make me feel prettier and more confident. Of course I’m so thankful because I have the advantage of having people who really take care of me, like the professionals who put on my makeup, do my hair, design my clothes. Team effort yun. And I appreciate it a lot.”
Now in her 30s, Kris has a level of confidence about herself because of her experiences in life and what she’s learned. According to her, Facial Care’s clientele are “women who have reached a point in their lives where they can afford the best because they’ve worked hard to attain that.” So they deserve a center that “represents the best as far as technology is concerned, coupled with personalized service and such a pleasant environment.”
