MANILA, Philippines — Newly crowned Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere of France will visit the Philippines, according to the Miss Universe Organization.

In a series of social media posts, MUO said Nel-Peters, Mittenaere and other contestants are headed to the Philippines to join the Department of Tourism’s Women Of Significance Gala Night and a Miss Universe fashion show sponsored by FrontRow Enterprise Philippines.

“They’re looking forward to the incredible hospitality of the Department of Tourism-Philippines, seeing some of the 7,107 islands, being part of DOT’s Women of Significance Gala Night and the Miss Universe Fashion Show,” the post read.

FrontRow also confirmed that the pageant title-holders and some of this year’s candidates would walk the runway in its sponsored Miss Universe fashion show. FrontRow described the show as the “most beautiful fashion show.”

MUO and FrontRow did not disclose the date of the arrival of the Miss Universe beauties but they were reportedly slated to visit the country this month.

Nel-Peters was hailed as the 66th Miss Universe last Monday while Mittenaere succeeded Filipina beauty Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach last January. Mittenaere was crowned in Manila.
