MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actor Inigo Pascual flaunted his abs at the recent Bench Under the Stars fashion show, making his dad, Piolo, a “proud stage father.”
“Bente anyos kasi ako n’ung pinanganak siya eh. Bente anyos s’ya ngayon. Buti nga wala pa siyang anak eh. Pero y’ung pagpapakitang abs, kung meron ka namang ipapakita, okay lang. Pero kung wala, itago mo,” Piolo jokingly said in a media interview during the launch of Mober where he is the ambassador.
Piolo also said that he is very happy and excited with the way his son’s career is going.
“I’m so excited for what’s in store for him. Just watched him yesterday on ‘ASAP,’ nakita ko talaga how he’s improved a lot. He’s so much better now.”
The actor said he is proud for his son as the young Pascual is back in school even though he has a lot of showbiz commitments.
“Kahit kulang ang tulog niya, nag-aaral pa rin tapos dire-diretso pa rin yung mga work niya. Masipag na bata.”
During Inigo’s upcoming thanksgiving concert “Dahil Sa’yo” on December 1, he wanted Piolo to guest in his concert, but his father said “no” because his father wants Inigo to have his own identity.
“Even the management naman, Star Magic, has been trying to avoid us being together and being associated to each other because we want him to have his own identity, but for sure I’m gonna be there. Parang he’s gonna stand on his own. He’s a better artist than me. ‘Di na ko kailangan dun. I’m just gonna watch him.”
On Inigo’s love life, Piolo said Inigo can do whatever he wants.
“Bahala siya. Magre-react lang siguro ko kung hindi na tama ‘yung ginagawa n’ya. He’s in an age wherein, in the point of his life, na I don’t think he’s gonna be serious, even if he got serious to anyone, that’s not for me siguro to make pakialam or anything because for me, lalaki naman ‘yung bata eh. ‘Di mo siya pwedeng i-baby.”
