According to Miss Universe Organization, online votes could secure a candidate a spot in the semifinals.
On Facebook, Miss Philippines Rachel Peters has led the online votes with over 209,000 likes.

Voting is now open through vote.missuniverse.com or by tweeting with hashtag #MissUniverse. If you are voting for Miss Philippines, add the hashtags #Philippines and tag Rachel, @Rachel_Petersx.
Celebrities like Anne Curtis and Gretchen Ho have led the voting by tweeting and using the hashtags.
