Philippines fails to enter Miss International top 15

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines bet to the 57th Miss International pageant, Maria Angelica De Leon, on Tuesday failed to make it to the top 15.

De Leon is eyeing to become the 7th Filipina Miss International and clinch the back-to-back win for the country to succeed the 2016 title holder Kylie Versoza.

The coronation night was held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall, Japan.

During the pageant, De Leon flaunted her metallic national costume.

The candidates who made it to the Top 15 list were: 

  • Curacao
  • Slovak Republic
  • Peru
  • United Kingdom
  • Ghana
  • Honduras
  • Japan
  • Ecuador
  • Finland
  • Laos
  • Indonesia
  • Panama
  • Thailand
  • Australia
  • South Africa

De Leon is the daughter of actors Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong,
