Marian grants Cambodian Prime Minister’s wish

MANILA, Philippines — Wish granted.

It did not take long for Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen to accomplish one of the things that he wanted to do in the country — meet Marian Rivera who is popular in Cambodia where her GMA shows (Marimar, Darna and Dyesebel, among them) are being aired.

Just hours after arriving at Clark International Airport (CIA) on Saturday, Hun Sen was able to meet Marian at a welcome dinner hosted by former Pres. and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at Midori Hotel in Clark. Marian was accompanied by husband Dingdong Dantes.

In an Instagram account, Dingdong posted a picture showing him and Marian standing behind Hun Sen and Arroyo (photo above).

Other pictures from the event showed the couple talking with Hun Sen.

Marian earlier expressed surprise and excitement over the invitation. She said Hun Sen must have known her for her roles in the TV series showing in Cambodia.
