Christian Bautista to invite ex Rachelle Ann Go to his wedding

Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines — The newly engaged Christian Bautista admitted that he cannot find a connection with his new hit, “Huling Harana,” a breakup song.

“‘Yung lalaki ang nakipag-break kasi nakita n’ya na pawala na. Pero kahit ‘di na sila, kakantahan pa rin kita kahit palayo na,” Christian explained the message behind “Huling Harana.”

The singer and actor confided, though, that he can relate to the song “maybe from a past experience.”

That past, of course, could point to Bautista’s ex girlfriend, West End singer and actress Rachelle Ann Go, who also got engaged to New York-based businessman Martin Spies just last September.

In an interview with Philstar.com on November 6 during the launch of Gabbi Garcia’s new music video and song, Christian clarified that he wished to correct his previous statement that he does not mind singing in Rachelle Ann’s wedding if he ever gets invited because it first should also get approval from Rachelle Ann’s fiancé.

How about Christian, is he going to invite his ex to his wedding?

According to him, his fiancée Kat Ramnani has met his “barkada,” including Rachelle Ann, so he said: “I think we can invite her (Rachelle Ann).”

Since he already co-wrote a song for Anne Curtis and Gabbi, will Christian also write a song for his wife-to-be?

“That song is yet to be made!” he said, unable to pull out a title from his portfolio that he felt could suit his fiancée.

Will he sing at their wedding?

“Oh, I don’t think I want to work on my wedding! I’ll get someone to sing for me siguro,” he said.

Will that other singer turn out to be Rachelle Ann? That is what Christian’s fans are going to watch out for.
