MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actor and Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano announced that all is set for his intimate church wedding with wife, Kapuso actress Chynna Ortaleza, this November.

“It’s really a small, intimate wedding. Actually we really call it a church blessing,” Kean announced during a recently lunch with the media.

The actor-singer said they tried to mount an out-of-town wedding but it did not pan out since theirs is not going to be the usual celebrity grand wedding.

Kumbaga 'yung gusto lang namin ni Chynna eh 'yung essence, kung bakit ba namin ginagawa eh para magpa-bless, get a blessing from God," he explained.

Kean said they are excited in their upcoming church wedding. According to him, if there is an event in their lives to look forward to, the wedding is the most important, though they tied the knot in a civil ceremony last 2015.

"Kasal na rin naman kasi kami ni Chynna pero ito kasi there's this feeling na ito kasi... kung may event sa buhay ko, ito ang pinaka-importante at pinakamalaki 'yung kasal. Natutuwa ako paggising ko sa umaga nakikita ko ang misis ko. Ano pa kung nakita kong nakaayos siya as my bride? That's what really excites me, 'yung makita si Chynna sa moment na 'yon," he said.

For their entourage, Kean said only close friends are in the list, but he confirmed that it includes some celebrities.

“We only chose close friends lang talaga. There are a few celebrities also, 'yung mga kaibigan ni Chynna like si Glaiza de Castro. Maliit lang talaga siya, less than a 100 lang ang guest," the actor-singer said.

For their daughter Stellar’s part in the wedding, Kean said she is supposed to be a ring bearer but they opted to not give her pressure.

“Kung gusto niyang maglakad at umabot siya hanggang dulo eh okay. But definitely ang main role niya sa wedding namin ay magpasaya, magbigay ng good vibes," he said.

Kean is currently busy doing movies and recordings. He has four movies to be shown, including the recent blockbuster “Seven Sundays,” “Hilom: Doctor to the Barrio,” ”Historia Graphika Errata,” and the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “All of Me” starring Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsey. His band Callalily will soon release a single.
