Anne Curtis strikes back at basher, defends Nadine Lustre
MANILA, Philippines — While many netizens welcome “It’s Showtime” host Nadine Lustre’s return to the noontime variety show this week after she took a break to mourn the reported death of her brother, many critics also resumed in bashing the actress.
Among those negative comments came from Twitter user @kathxnielonly. On October 15, @kathxnielonly wrote, pertaining to Nadine: “Namatayan na nga, nagagawa pang mag inarte na ganyan. Advocacy pang keep going ulul #OwnWhoYouAre pa rin without pretentions.”

Nadine’s co-host, Anne Curtis, then came to Nadine’s rescue, replying to @kathxnielonly: “You are a horrible person. You never know what a person is going through or how they deal with whatever it is they are feeling. So back off.”

So far, Anne’s reply has been liked 13,000 times and retweeted for over 4,000 times. In contrast, the tweet by @kathxnielonly has been liked 119 times and retweeted 23 times.
The camps of Nadine and James Reid thanked Anne for the gesture, while Nadine's fans also praised Anne.

Anne, Nadine, and fellow host Ryan Bang will perform on Wednesday as a group for “It’s Showtime’s” Magpasikat segment, a week-long, annual talent competition of “It’s Showtime” hosts. It kicked off on October 17 with a performance by Billy Crawford, James Reid and Amy Perez.
