Kim is stronger, tougher, more mature

Kim Chiu: Never stop learning, love yourself more and take it easy.

You see Kim Chiu giggle infectiously on TV during interviews yet her maturity was evident when she gamely shared her thoughts and laid bare the state of her heart by answering questions without any hesitations during her recent guesting in Tonight with Boy Abunda. There was sincerity in her tone while admitting that her working relationship with Gerald Anderson is much better these days.

“We’re okay,” said Kim with a smile plastered on her face. Time has definitely healed whatever pain she felt after their romance fizzled out and went their separate ways. “Everything is healed; everything’s okay. Nagtatawanan kami, ganyan ang buhay. Life goes on.”

The Chinita Princess was also generous on talking things that fans are interested to know. She finally addressed the rumor on her having a conflict with onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend Xian Lim. Kim said that everything is fine between them.

“Wala naman, okay naman kami. It’s normal,” she said and went on to admit that their busy schedules hinder them from spending more time with each other.

Speculations of Kim and Xian’s break-up cropped up when Kim starred with ex-boyfriend Gerald in the Kapamilya daytime series Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin. Fans were quick to jump into conclusion that Xian was bitten by the green-eyed monster resulting to him and Kim’s misunderstandings. Until now, they refused to label their relationship.

At 27, Kim still doesn’t see herself settling down five years from now. Her answer was a quick, “Wow! Hindi pa, hindi pa,” before adding, “pero hindi mo rin masabi. I don’t know. Let’s see,” as she stood in front of the mirror.

In the future, Kim said that she wanted to travel to Iceland alone. “Isa talaga yun sa mga gusto kong puntahan. I want to travel alone although I have this fear of traveling alone. But I want to try.”
