Julie Anne San Jose admits crash dieting to get new bod
MANILA, Philippines — After winning in her #RelationshipGoals with boyfriend Benjamin Alves, Julie Anne San Jose is now into achieving her #FitnessGoals.
Fans have been noticing a sexier and a more daring Julie Anne in her social media photos. From a wholesome teen, the singer has indeed come of age.
In a recent interview with Philstar.com for Cream Silk, the star confessed that she crashed diet to get the body she wants.
“I used to work out a lot. I crashed diet for a week and lost 10 to 15 pounds,” Julie Anne confessed.
Researches, such as those recently published in CNN, frown upon crash dieting as it can allegedly:
- Slow down metabolism that could trigger future weight gain
- Deprive body of essential nutrients
- Can weaken the immune system
- Increase risk of dehydration, cardiac stress and heart palpitations
But according to Julie Anne, she did not experience negative effects like those because though she gave up rice for at least a week, she substituted it with healthy picks like vegetables, fish and fruits.
“I only had around 800 calories a day and ate only once in a day,” bared the star, who complemented her diet plan with a workout every late afternoon.
Besides her body, her vocals are also into workout mode as she eyes to come up with a new album for the year. For the meantime, she is busy co-hosting and performing for GMA shows like “Sunday Pinasaya” and “Pepito Manoloto.”
