MANILA, Philippines — Beauty queen and actress Ruffa Gutierrez on Wednesday night took to Twitter her excitement for the return of Angel Locsin in primetime ABS-CBN fantasy series, "La Luna Sangre."

Ruffa is the sister of Richard Gutierrez, who plays Sandrino, the Supremo vampire in the show.

Locsin, who now plays political strategist Jacinta Magsaysay, only appeared in last night's episode for about eight seconds, and yet already caused a stir among shocked netizens and fans who thought Angel is already dead in the series.

As such, yesterday's episode hashtag, #LaLunaSangreTheComing, immediately became the top trending on Twitter.

Many netizens and fans are now wondering if Jacintha is a totally new character, or is she the resurrection of Lia or Lyka?

Other fans also speculate if John Lloyd Cruz, Lia's husband in the series, is also alive and he, Lia, and daughter Malia, played by Kathryn Bernardo, will reunite in the end.

Others ask whether Jacintha is going to spark romance with Supremo, the head vampire and antagonist played by Richard, who is Angel's former love team partner. Fans of the #ChardGel love team are indeed revitalized by seeing Angel and Richard together again in a scene.

In a recent "La Luna Sangre" press conference, the stars of the show revealed that unlike other soap operas they did before, they, too, do not know the fates of their characters, even the fact if they are a wolf, a vampire, or a human in the show.

Although the leading man, Daniel Padilla, has been known in the show as a vampire slayer, he too is not sure if he will stay that way. Even for his leading lady, Kathryn, it is not clear yet if she will become a wolf like her mother, Lia, or a vampire.

One thing is for sure though: unpredictable, unorthodox plots and shocking character appearances in the style of "Game of Thrones" keep netizens engaged and ratings high.
