'Game of Thrones' to show longest episode as season ender

MANILA, Philippines — The penultimate season of the worldwide TV phenomenon "Game of Thrones" will culminate with Episode 7, titled “The Dragon and the Wolf," premiering same time as the U.S. on Monday, August 28, at 9 a.m., with a same day primetime encore at 9 p.m. on HBO.

The season finale will boast the longest runtime in the entire series, clocking in at 79 minutes and 43 seconds. The entire award-winning series will also be streaming on HBO Go. 

In Episode 6, titled “Beyond the Wall," which premiered same time as the U.S. on August 21, Jon and the Brotherhood hunt the dead. Arya confronts Sansa. Tyrion thinks about the future.

Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin, this hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom.
