MANILA, Philippines — More than a decade after "Sana Maulit Muli," internationally acclaimed singer-actress Lea Salonga performed the title song from the critically acclaimed movie at the 40th Gawad Urian in ABS-CBN on Thursday night, coinciding with a recent controversy between her and her co-star in the movie, Aga Muhlach.
Lea was nominated for Best Actress in Urian in 1995 for her role in the romantic drama.
Muhlach, who reportedly wrote a letter to Lea, calling her "the one that got away," was also nominated for Best Actor in the movie helmed by director Olivia Lamasan.
"Ito ang talagang nais ko...Ang ating kahapon...Sana maulit muli," the song's lyrics go, making people wonder, will there be a second chance for Lea and Aga?
The two are reportedly working on a reunion project, first, as hinted by their dinner with their spouses in June, and second, by the following video showing Lea perform "Sana Maulit Muli" along with other classic hits from other winners and nominees at Urian.
