MANILA, Philippines — After learning that one of the doctors in a press conference lately was pressured by her family to become a doctor, actress and TV host Kris Aquino thought of doing the same for her second son, Bimby.

“Ah! So, pwede mag-force? Okay! Got it! I will!” she quipped, sending her audience on a laugh trip during the recent antibacterial solution Fucidin’s press conference.

“I keep telling Bimby, ‘Your mom is not always healthy, so you better become a doctor, honey,” the star shared.

“I’m always jealous of those na may doctor sa pamilya because isang tawag lang, nandyan na right away.”

She admitted that she has been strict to her sons. “I’m not a chill mom. Ako talaga, you have to (do it)!”

Now that she has met a doctor who did not seem to mind being "forced" into the profession, she believes Bimby would not find it hard to fall in love with it.

In fact, this early, Kris declared, “Bimby wants to be a geneticist, but I want him to be an anesthesiologist or a cardiologist.”

She vowed to never stop until Bimby fits into a lab gown like a hand to a glove. “I will do that every day of my life. Mind conditioning talaga!”

She, however, clarified that by “force,” she means “positive reinforcement.”

For now, just like any mother, she also dabbles as her children’s “doctor mom.”

“I’m a working mom. Although I can’t work at home, I make sure we, the midwife and I, have a list of things to do. We make sure to have a ready speed dial for the pedia,” she narrated.

Upon hearing that the other mom in the press con panel has a “wonderful husband,” Kris, a single parent, joked: “Ang sarap ka sabunutan!”
