PCG: 'Auring' strands over 8,000 passengers, seacraft
MANILA, Philippines — Over 8,000 passengers and more than 500 seacraft were stranded in ports due to Tropical Depression Auring, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Although "Auring" was already downgraded to a low pressure area, the PCG still recorded some 8,767 stranded passengers as of 8 a.m. On the other hand, there were 463 rolling cargoes, 173 vessels, and 60 motor bancas stranded in ports.
PCG units were already advised to ensure the strict implementation of the guidelines on movement of vessels during heavy weather

Central Visayas
