MANILA, Philippines – It turns out that the "Hangover match" was all for show.

Beast Mode Productions recently said the supposed altercation between actors Kiko Matos and Baron Geisler was for a documentary film.

"Yes, certain actions were planned and enacted. Yes, there is a bigger picture: the release of a documentary film," the post read.

The putative fight started when Geisler and Matos feuded at a bar in Quezon City last May 26.

The two actors were invited by the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) to settle their dispute in a mixed martial arts fight three months later.

Although their pre-fight appearances were fierce – to the point where Matos sprayed Geisler with what was originally perceived as urine in one of their meetings – the fight ended with a draw.

Both celebrities have since kissed and made up.

The production house, however, clarified that Geisler's latest controversy involving another actor, Ping Medina, has nothing to do with the project.

The documentary film "Beastmode" will be shown on December 15 at the UP Cine Adarna.
