4-stag derby set at Pasay cockpit
MANILA, Philippines – The Pilipinas Gamefowl Breeders Derby Association (PGBDA) will stage the second leg of its 4-stag derby circuit on Friday with top breeders fielding in their respective aces at the Pasay City Cockpit.
The three-leg series, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor 3000, offers a guaranteed prize of P1.4 million.
Wilvin Sy of Pampanga, a veteran of World Slasher Cup, topped the first leg made up of 122 fights at the San Juan Coliseum last week.
PGBDA stalwart William Go said they expect to draw another banner field in the second leg for the accepted wingbands: PGBDA, LGBA Young, RGBA Young, NGBA, Digmaan and Bakbakan stags.
The 2016 PGBDA Breeder of the Year, meanwhile, will receive P300,000 while the PGBDA Stagfighter of the Year will get P200,000.
