Who wears the snake best?
MANILA, Philippines – The first time she landed on the cover of FHM in September 2011, Lovi Poe was photographed with an elephant — Beauty and the beast photographed in Bangkok.
Lovi (#1, #2) is on her second coming at FHM and this time she’s partnered with a python (poison in fangs presumably removed), photographed by Mark Nicdao.
It was Nasstasja Kinski (#3, daughter of actor Klaus Kinski) who first struck that memorable pose (with a boa constrictor) in 1981, shot by master photographer Richard Avedon in dramatic black and white. Heard that that picture was auctioned for $20,000 to $30,000.
No doubt inspired by Kinski, Jennifer Lawrence (#4) essayed the same pose.
Don’t look now but even Pops Fernandez (#5) also did it for the print ad of a short-lived beauty spa. (Another local actress in a similar languid pose was sexy starlet Josephine Manuel.)
