Maine Mendoza wins at 2016 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

MANILA, Philippines — Maine Mendoza emerged victorious as she was named Favorite Pinoy Personality at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

The 21-year-old actress bested young celebrities Enrique Gil, James Reid and Kathryn Bernardo for the award.

The winner was dedicated through online voting via the Nickelodeon website, Twitter and Instagram.

This is one of the many recognitions Maine has received since entering showbiz last year via the noontime show "Eat Bulaga." Recently, Maine received a Best Supporting Actress award at the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival. — Chuck Smith
