Marian Rivera to be part of new 'Encantadia'

MANILA, Philippines - Marian Rivera is back after giving birth to her first child last year.

And for her first project after becoming a mother, she will be part of the remake of GMA-7's fantasy TV show "Encantadia."

The 31-year-old actress will play of Ynang Reyna, the role previously portrayed by Dawn Zulueta in the show's 2005 version.

This was announced in a press conference on Tuesday.

The remake of 'Encantadia" is expected to air later this year.

Apart from "Encantadia," Marian is also slated to do her own talk show, according to Pilipino Star Ngayon show columnist Nora Calderon.

She is also still part of the weekend show "Sunday PinaSaya."
