Gloc 9: Latest single a post-holiday gift to fans

MANILA, Philippines – Gloc 9 fans are in for a treat even after the holidays.
The popular rapper recently released his latest single "Pareho Tayo" in his Soundcloud account and could be downloaded for free.
"I think napapanahon naman na magbigay ako ng isang libreng bagay para sa kanila," he replied when asked why he released the single for free download, in an interview on Wednesday.
"No'ng ginawa ko 'yong [concert] sa Music Museum na 18 years celebration namin, na-realize ko na it's about time na gumawa ako ng isang kanta na libreng mada-download ng mga taong sumuporta sa akin ever since," he added.
The song "Pareho Tayo" tackles how one person could relate to what other people go through in their everyday lives, despite their personal differences.
Some national issues were mentioned in the song like lining up in train stations and how students struggle to finish their studies.
With this, Gloc 9 was asked if it was intentional for him to release the single in the height of election period.
“Hindi ko naman po dinidikta na kapag nilabas itong song, e, mag-effect sa iyo,” he explained. “Depende sa interpretation ng makikinig, e, makatulong po.”
All that matters to him is that “mayro’n man itong magiging effect or ganahan ang tao na kumilos o gawin ang isang bagay, I believe nasa tao na po ‘yon. I can only hope na maganda ang maging epekto niya.”
“Pareho Tayo” could be downloaded in Gloc 9’s Soundcloud account, “glocdash9.”
