Donde esta Lola Tinidora?

The “star of the night” last Saturday at #38 Valencia Events Place was not Birthday Lady Malou Choa-Fagar (SVP/COO of TAPE, Inc., producer of Eat, Bulaga!) but — surprise, surprise! — Wally Bayola who showed up in character…as Lola Nidora in the Bulaga kalyeserye. The well-heeled starry guests had fun having their pictures taken with Philippine television’s most popular grandma.

Alden Richards must be busy somewhere else (shooting for My Bebe Love, a 2015 Metro Filmfest entry) so he was a no-show. His partner Maine Mendoza was at the MOA singing along with Sam Smith and screaming in unison with the teen-dominated audience. “Sam Smith was the bomb!!!! Suuuuuper amazing I cannot even I swear I cried as in AHH-maaaaazing…” She posted on her Twitter.

Other Bulaga guys were present (check photos) but conspicuously absent was Jose “Lola Tinidora” Manalo, sorely missed on Bulaga for more than a week now, making everybody (including my AlDub-crazy aunt in L.A.) wonder whatever happened to him. Yes, donde esta Lola Tinidora?

Is Lola Tinidora peeved because Lola Nidora is perceived to be more popular than her? No way. The green-eyed monster never reared its ugly head in the years that the comic duo has been together. They jibe, as in useless one without the other, and they know it.

Asked what really happened (or is happening) to Lola Tinidora, one reliable source said, “Walang professional jealousy kina Wally at Jose, hahahaha!!!” 

Jose is rumored to be in the States.

Asked the same question, another reliable source joked, “Uha, uha, uha, uha!” Then laughed, “Hahahaha!”

The mystery deepens.
