Rocco speaks up on rumored split with Lovi: No stealing, no third party
MANILA, Philippines - For the first time, Rocco Nacino opened up about his rumored breakup with GMA-7 actress Lovi Poe.
Rocco and Lovi, who admitted being in a relationship in 2014, are rumored to have split weeks ago.
Many of their social media followers noted that the two no longer post photos of one another, further fueling the rumor.
Pang-Masa writer Veronica Samio in her November 22 Pang-Masa column alleged that there are rumors Rocco stole money from his and Lovi's joint account.
"Ewan kung totoo pero, nababalitang may iba nang nagugustuhang non-showbiz ang aktor (ang dali naman!) na wala pang nakikitang reaksyon mula sa aktres at nagagawang ipagtanggol pa si Rocco sa mga bashers nito sa pamamagitan ng pagsasabing mabuting tao ang binata at humihingi ng pang-unawa na gusto niyang gawin munang pribado ang lahat sa kanilang dalawa," Samio also wrote.
But in an Instagram post on Sunday, the GMA-7 actor spoke up about the rumors and denied the allegations.
"Been receiving news about me stealing money from a joint account and having a third party involved in our relationship," Rocco said. "No joint account. No third party. I have the utmost respect for Lovi. Please do respect the privacy that we both request right now. Thank you."
However, Rocco kept mum if he and Lovi are still together.
Lovi has also remained silent on the issue.
The three starred in the GMA-7 soap opera "Beautiful Strangers."
Heart refused to comment on the issue. But when asked for her advice to Lovi, she said: "You don’t live according to what people want you to do. You have your own choice, your own decisions. You make a mistake, charge it to experience."
She added, “It will make you the woman you will be in the future. My advice to her is live her life."
