Marian Rivera gives birth to baby girl
MANILA, Philippines - Actress Marian Rivera is now a mother.
The GMA-7 star gave to birth to daughter Maria Letizia, with actor Dingdong Dantes at the Makati Medical Center on Monday morning.
Marian's manager Rams David confirmed the news.
He also took to Instagram to inform Marian's fans that the GMA-7 star has already given birth.
He added: "I just received the best news from Dong and the best Christmas gift from God... God Bless Maria Letizia. Salamat sa lahat Ng nag pray for Yan and Zia mahal po namin kayo."
Marian revealed she is pregnant via a TV interview last April, four months after she and Dingdong tied the knot. "'Yun din ang isa sa mga dahilan kaya kami nagpursiging magpakasal; it's to really build a family. And alam naman natin an ang pagkakaroon ng anak ay isa sa mga mahahalagang bagay para magkaroon ng isang pamilya," Dingdong said at the time.
The pregnancy led to Marian withdrawing from the GMA-7 drama "The Rich Man's Daughter," which was originally planned as the 31-year-old actress' first soap opera after getting married. Rhian Ramos took over Marian's role.
"Ito talaga ang pangarap ko at inaasam-asam ko—ang ikasal at magkaroon ng anak at magkaroon ng pamilya. Ito talaga, e," Marian said in an interview last May.
