Ella Cruz admits going out on 'group dates' with Bret Jackson

MANILA, Philippines — Ella Cruz confirmed that she's going out with Bret Jackson, but clarified that they go on "group dates."

"Sabi niya, dating, sa akin labas-labas, hang out lang. Lumalabas-labas kami," Ella said in an interview on Wednesday. She added that there are even times when they go out together with her mom.

Although she sees that he's "serious" about pursuing her, the Kapamilya actress doesn't want to rush things between them.

"Gusto ko muna siyang kilalanin pa. Kasi mahirap kapag may commitment na, e," she explained. "Medyo chill muna, take it slow. Medyo busy rin ako, kasi sunud-sunod na schedule ko 'tsaka siya rin."

In case Bret wins Ella's heart, he'll be her first boyfriend. This is the reason why she doesn't want to take everything too seriously.

"Gusto ko lang i-enjoy, 'wag masyadong seryoso kasi kapag sineryoso masyadong masaktan," she comments.

Before Ella, Bret was linked to actress Andi Eigenmann. They admitted that they ended their relationship in March, which they decided to keep from the public.

Meanwhile, Ella is happy that he's being considered by her home networks as the "Teen Dance Princess," after her video dancing "Twerk It Like Miley" went viral.

Some reports even described her as the next Maja Salvador, who is ABS-CBN's "Dance Princess."

"Siyempre nakakatuwa, nakaka-flattered," she said about her new title. "Siyempre 'yon din naman ang pangarap ko, na maging next Maja, dance princess. So parang ako, bilang lahat 'yon efforts ko, natutuwa ako kasi na-appreciate siya."

Aside from TV5's "Parang Normal Activity," Ella will star in the upcoming "Wattpad" episode "Bebeng Pabebe Meets Super Jiro" which will air on August 31 at 9 p.m. on TV5.
