Chiz, Heart to renew wedding vows in 2016

Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines —  Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero said he and wife Heart Evangelista are planning to renew their wedding vows in 2016.

According to report published in Pang-Masa on Tuesday, the renewal of vows will happen on February 15, 2016 in Balesin Island, exactly one year after they tied the knot.

It will serve as their thanksgiving after Heart reconciled with her parents Reynaldo and Cecilia earlier this year. Heart’s parents will attend the 2016 renewal of vows, the report said.

“Simple lang hong seremonya iyon. Kami-kami lang ho para ho may litrato kami na kapiling ang kanyang mga magulang,” Pang-Masa quoted Chiz as saying. The renewal of vows will be followed by a small gathering at their home in Quezon City.

Chiz said Heart is happier now that she has mended fences with her parents. “It’s showing in her art,” he said.

“It shows in her artistic side perhaps, na maganda ang lugar na kinakalagyan niya. Hindi na madilim mga painting niya, maliwanag 'yung mga painting niya,” Chiz added.

It can be remembered Heart had a falling out with her parents in 2013 when they opposed the actress’ romance with Chiz. Heart and her parents began reaching out to each other again in 2014. However, they did not attend Heart’s wedding with Chiz in February 2015.

In May, Heart posted a photo of her parents with Chiz on Instagram, confirming that they have all reconciled.

“Siguro nung kinasal ako, na-realize nila na okay na ako. I’m a very transparent person. Alam nila kung may problema ako. Nakita nilang masaya ako so tinanggap din nila,” Heart said in an interview recently.
