Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2015 Christi McGarry retains crown

MANILA, Philippines - Christi McGarry will keep her crown as Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2015.

 

It was earlier reported that McGarry, who won the Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental crown on Sunday, already represented the country in the Miss Intercontinental pageant in 2010.

This means the 24-year-old beauty queen will compete in the said international beauty pageant for the second time. 

 

This prompted netizens to ask if McGarry will still be eligible to compete for the Miss Intercontinental pageant later this year.

 

But in their official statement, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. said McGarry will keep her Miss Intercontinental title.

 

The statement reads: "All the winners of the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 pageant will keep their respective and original titles. Contrary to speculations, there will be no switching of titles following questions about the crowning of Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Christi Lynn McGarry. McGarry is still eligible to compete in the Miss Intercontinental 2015 pageant. Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Rogelie Catacutan will also compete in the Miss Supranational 2015 pageant."
